GREEN - BEGINNER
Beginners with no experience learn to stop on easy terrain, to ski round individual obstacles and to execute a sequence of turns. We concentrate solely on the legs and use no poles.
BLUE - INTERMEDIATE
Once we can stop in flat terrain and can turn close to the fall line, we learn how to ski a fluid series of curves one after the other and to travel along the marked routes (e.g. around poles or obstacles). When our movements are sufficiently stable and we are able to watch out for other skiers on the slope we learn to use the lift.
RED - ADVANCED
When we can make turns safely and use the lift independently, we are also permitted to ski in moderately steep terrain (red pistes). There we practise and improve rhythmic, variable curving. On every part of the piste we have control of our skis (and speed).
BLACK - EXPERT
On red pistes we vary speed and turns, and also practise skiing in more challenging terrain.
